Salt Lake City and YellowStone

Ok, I am sitting on my bed … I was about to write something and PJ and Ashlee asked me what I was doing. I told them I was writing a journal. Ok.. back to writing.  I am in almost middle of nowhere in a cabin. (D dd, just wished us goodnight) lol I am trying to make this very interactive but I can’t possibly report everything that I am experiencing right now.  Anyways, third times the charm. I am in the middle of nowhere in a wooden house. It’s the type of house you shoot horror movie in. It has 2 floors, and old decorations. There’s an Attic right next to my bed. While I sleep, someone might just take me into that attic and I get lost. So, if you don’t hear from me in few days, that’s probably what happened. We are here to go visit Yellowstone. I don’t know what to expect but man oh man Utah is beautiful. As soon as we landed, the airport was really nice. It was very big, and clean and there weren’t that many people. The bathroom, I was told, was also big and spacious. So, to...

Scratch Notes

I was watching this YouTube video yesterday and took some notes. I’ll just post these, read if you feel like it. It’s advice given by this 83 year old woman. I particularly liked the first one.  1. Do what is right , not which is easy. Whether it is with college, friends, family. Don't take the easy route. Maybe the easy road is the right road. Always think about taking the right road. We probably have had circumstances where we had to take the easy route. But, now try changing that. Soon, as you get older you might realize that you should take the right road. When husband got ill, she gave up the career. When she lost her husband, she was with them. The right road was to stay with them and raise them. It wasn't easy, but it was what she should've done. Always try to take the right road.  2. When we are younger, we are full of dreams. Sometimes, they might be out of touch with reality. But, dreams are only dreams until you take action. Maybe it takes you a long time to r...

So much to learn

I need to stop going into the rabbit hole man. There’s just so much to learn, and I haven’t even scratched the surface. I, at times, feel stupid. Like you know the imposter syndrome? Yeah that, but multiply it by 10.  I need to start waking up early. Again, I think I will stop doing into these rabbit holes. Just focus on one thing. I need to first finish this book that I am studying for algorithms and data structures. Only then, once I finish it, I will go in-depth with other topics. I need to finish the book, and then do one or two leetcode problems each day. (So leetcode is a platform which contains coding problems which are often asked in interviews).  I have been looking into Dynamic Programming for days and not yet solved a question related to that. I need to do more focused reading. Dedicate my time a little more conservatively and towards the things that are my priorities.  The most time consuming things in my life right now is Youtube. Whether it be mindles...

Ok I like this.

Just heard back from the company that I was excited to work for, so it's a no. But, that's ok. I felt a little bad for a while but also I was applying for a little senior role than what I am right now. This is good though.. I should not let one no make me sad. Time to look for other jobs now. I guess the problem with me, is I hadn't applied elsewhere after that because I liked the prospect of working there much. Also one thing lol, when I replied to the email they sent me, I fucking mistakenly said Mr. [last name] instead of Ms. [Last Name] I swear to god this was not intentional and now I just sound like a jerk. And it was too late when I realized I sent the wrong pronoun. Fuck me!  I think I need to constantly search and apply for jobs... or should I just wait for a while at my current job (which honestly is not that bad, it just doesn't sponser visa but the main thing is there's no other engineers than me. Eveything I do, I need to learn by myself.. and I want...

Lofi slow and reverbed are the best

I am listening to one of those songs right now. It's nice. Also, everything has been going well. So, I don't want to rant about anything today. I have consistently been going to the gym, watching what I eat, studying (a little, I need to catch up and pace), and working well.  I feel pretty tired. Excited for tomorrow. We are leaving this Friday for a trip to Utah. Yellowstone baby!!  I have to hold myself accountable during this time, like with studying and eating healthy. Right after that we are going to California for a week.  Also, this week I will be hearing back from this another job that I applied to. The thing I liked about this job is that they obviously pay well but there's this thing called good friday where we just learn about different things that we are interested in , and build stuff. I can also collaborate with other engineers and get advice from my supervisor on the stuff that I am building.  Ok guys listen to this song  please. It's aweso...

Today

Hello, I found my daily diary from the year 2013 lol. I was reading a little bit and I could already notice how dumb I was. Or maybe Intelligent who knows? But it was fun to read a few of the days in my life from that time. I actually had a lot more in that diary. Including my first love and first breakup, but I had deleted all of that. I remember the day lol. I just thought sweety should no longer be in my life so I erased that part from the diary. But there’s still the first day I met her apparently. Anyways, it had my life after 10 and a few months at my college and some from 2019 like life updates and all.  Ok so talked about recent days and today. As you might know I have been going to the gym regularly these days. Today work was fine. I have this bug that I am supposed to solve but it’s just too meh to look at. I will solve it tomorrow. Apart from that I watched the johnny deep trial a little bit today. Then had the lunch. I finally took the covers off my guitar. I wil...

Tons of new experiences.

Ok, to continue from previous blog. I failed to update it. We didn’t end up going to club that day. I mean we reached till the gates but then one of our friends (or elder brother) was wearing shorts and we were told that shorts was not allowed inside. Which is so unfair. Girls can wear as short clothes as they want but we aren’t allowed to even wear short pants? Like we are supposed to wear full pants. Which sucks. We too want to feel sexy and wear revealing clothes. But yeah, we couldn’t get in so we roamed around.  Dinner: So, as we were walking we decided to go to Miami Bayside Marketplace for dinner. We actually wanted to get drunk but then we also got hungry. We had an awesome dinner and few margaritas at this place called Black Market. I loved the chips, fries and the wings there.  Looking for sugar mommy and clubs: Once we were full and a little tipsy, we wanted to get a little more tipsy. So, right across that restaurant there was a shop where you could buy thes...

Kombuchas

Ok, I love Kombuhca. I don’t even know how they are made, but they are awesome. Instead of having a coke or some kind of soda, just have Kombucha. For some reason it feels healthy and it’s tasty too and it quenches your thirst and revitalizes you. Not you, but me. It has those effects on me. I take no responsibility if you don’t like it.  So, anyways, I had my therapy after a while today. And it went good. I was told to tell stuff if it doesn’t make me comfortable. Most of the time I always think events in life are trivial. Even when at the moment it sounds really big. In the heat of emotions, we sometimes tend to exaggerate things. And honestly if we really think about it, there are not really that many things that really makes me uncomfortable. I tend to understand stuff from other’s perspective (Sometimes) and most of the stuff doesn’t bother me at all. But, a few of them do, even after a day or two of thinking about them. So, I am supposed to voice them out. I like that ...

Deep work (Copied from Amazon Review)

Credit:  Review Writer Profile on Amazon Deep Work is the execution/tactical companion to Newport's last book, So Good They Can't Ignore You and it doesn't disappoint. These books should be taken together as a whole because they give you the WHAT, the WHY and the HOW for being an elite knowledge worker. So Good they Can't Ignore you shows you why building valuable and rare skills, which Newport calls "career capital" is the number one most important thing for finding a job you love (not "finding your passion"). Building that capital allows you to find a job where you can have creative control over your work and more control over your time, which allows you to do "deep work," aka deliberate practice (and the 10,000 hour rule for expertise, Gladwell, Ericsson and others). There are also 2 other factors, choosing a domain or mission or project where you will have a postive impact on the world, and choosing to work with people who you like bei...

Dancing in the dark

Ok I bought an iPad and along with it a Logitech keyboard. And I must tell you that this is awesome. It’s almost like a laptop. The reason why I decided to get an iPad was.. I was looking to buy books to study and then I added all the books that I wanted to study on, and the price was almost 800 dollar. Damn. That’s a lot of money, I could buy an iPad and just study from there by downloading pdfs. I thought. And now we are here.  But, another awesome thing is how good this is at talking notes. I type at almost 90 wpm from this laptop, and again with the added utility of Apple Pencil, this makes iPad one hell of a machine for studying. I have carried the principle of ONE THING with this iPad too. The only apps that I have here are GoodNotes, Discord, Google Calendar and Procreate. Also the word procreate reminds me that it is something that I want to do lol. Not right now, there was this phase where I thought having kids and getting married would suck and all those jazz. But,...

150th blog. (Including Drafts )

As soon as I wrote the text I realize how we tend to think about thinks in multiple of 5s. Like most of the time I'm thinking of taking breaks, I generally take 5, 10 ,15 or 20 mins breaks. I have rarely heard about someone saying that I will take a 9 minutes break. Also, the money system is also in multiples of 5. Like we do have 1 dollar, 2 dollar but then we have 5, 10, 20, 50, 100. Why not 2, 8, 16, right...?  And maybe that's the reason I gave importance to 150th blog. Anyways, guys I hope all of you are doing well. I am also good.  So, the past few days have been fun. I didn't have work, and I got to study a little, and go out with friends and just chill at the house and have fun. Again let's backtrack few moments. I'll just type in random order.  So, first and foremost the thing that I am excited about is I heard back from google. I passed the first online assessment and now am moving on the next round. I believe. I wish I had stared to prepare for those in...

Hey Siri, play me a song.

I just listened to "I'm yours" by Jason Mraz after a while, and it's fun. (or in Nepali kasto ramailo). Now, I won't give up is playing. Siri played that for me. Hi Siri.  Anyways, I was studying graph problems and I was so excited that I intuitively understood graph traversals. I hadn't really looked into graph problems, but now I am. Bro, honestly, I think in a year or few months, I will be so freaking good k. At problem solving. And I'll be solving problems here and there, I wonder if I accidentally solve world hunger and stuff like that yk? I'm pumped. Yeeehawwwww.... (Now, I am Texan at heart 🤠)  Also, I made myself a cup of coffee using that coffee machine thing, where you first make an espresso shot and then add water. It was simpler than I thought. (10,000 hours - JB is on the background) Yk I just had an idea. I will make a playlist when I am writing these blogs and then write as I listen to them. So, if you are reading this, just play the pl...

Studying

Ok, as I was saying now is the time for me to start brushing up all the things that I've learned in school.  For now, I will mostly be focused on just one thing. Cracking the Interviews.  Today was a little meh. I woke up pretty late, it was almost 1pm. The time difference between CDT and EST is something that I have to get used to. Whenever I check my alarm clock in the morning, I deduct one hour from the clock and tell myself, it is still 7 am in Texas so I'll just sleep for an hour, which then just continues and viola it's 12 pm.  After I woke up, I had my meal, and then watched Our National Park series on Netflix. Nature is amazing. After seeing all the creatures, there and the vast richness of Nature, it made me feel that ok whatever that I am focusing on, and all that jazz, life's just not limited to that. All these things makes me take myself less seriously.  And after that I believe I played COD for a while. But, now COD has become boring. I don't enjo...

Here in FL

Hi guys! I am a Florida man now.  So for those of you who don't know, we have Mr. Jadoo, the pug here in our house. He is 2 years now. The first thing that I noticed was that he has a girlfriend of his own ( A small lama doll ) Who he wants to hump lol. That was so funny. He brings this lama doll and he wants me to hold it, so he could hump on it. LMFAO.  Mr. Jadoo has grown up.  Anyways, let's start from the beginning.  So, Saturday I packed all my stuff. I wanted to fit all my stuff in 2 suitcases, which as I started to pack things realized was not possible. But, I did throw out a lot of stuff that I didn't really use and no longer needed. I saw how much of wires I had, and electric cables. Also, a lot of shirts I had gathered from my college days. I threw all of them. But, I was able to significantly reduce everything. I had a lot of books, which I think will eventually be needed to replace by an iPad. Damn, all these books, most of them are about psycholog...
