Suffocating

Summary.
1. Visit to Niagara Falls.
2. Details about Amazon Interview.
3. Visit to Boston. Harvard and MIT.
4. NYC.

Suffocating. That's the word that came to my mind when I think of NYC now. And by NYC I mean that core place in NY.

I loved the vibe and the people and everything else, but that place just needs a little bit of breathing space. I loved Boston though. If I do get a job in Amazon, I might just move there. That being said the interview went better than I expected. I am supposed to hear back within a week so that suspense is just eating me alive lol.

I just ordered chipotle it should be coming soon in 30 minutes. You know if you do well in an interview and it seems like you actually might have a chance to work at a company that you love, the waiting period is even more slow. One thing that I have learned over the years is patience, so I am just practicing that. That reminds me of this quote "Slow is the fastest way to achieve your dreams" or something like that. Ok my Dasher just picked up my order. I will stop writing once I get my food lol.

Ok so let me take you to Friday morning. I was a little nervous, I recently had found this group of indian indie songs which I love, so I was just listening to them. I also packed my clothes and everything that morning. I had my interview at 12 till 3 pm. 3 hours back to back. And my flight was boarding on 4:15. It usually takes 45 -60 minutes to get to the airport depending on the traffic and I was worried a little too because lines on the TSA (airport security) is a little longer during the long weekends. The doors of my airplane closed at 4:50 so I wasn't that concerned too. But I needed to leave as soon as my interview finished.

So I booked an Uber right around 3:00 pm and as soon as the interview finished I grabbed my passport wore my favorite crocs and went straight into uber. You know it's fun when you are just going to the airport like you're going to Walmart? PJ dai and Ashlee dd left earlier with my bag and everything else so I just needed to bring ...myself.

The stress of the interview caused me to loose my appetite... good thing we still had few momo left so I just had them. It's funny you can still have momos even if you don't feel like having anything. [My chipotle order came and I had it while watching Ms. Marvel. ] I just finished an hour of Ms. Marvel. The story is now getting interesting. Farah Aktar and our very own Fawad Khan is also in the scene now.

Oh ok so back to the interview and reflections. My first very round I was told to write a method that would calculate run times of the functions. The input was func names and the time they started on and the end times. I was able to come up with optimal solution for   runtime but couldn't for the space. The solution I purposed took O(n) space but we could do it on O(n/2). We discussed edge cases and things that I could improve on. The behavioral rounds were also good? Unlike Microsoft we spent quite a lot of time on that. Also, they didn't really ask me about my resume or anything. The first round I would rate 3/5. There were a lot of things that could go good.

My second round was with a guy around our age. I loved this round. I was able to come up with optimal solution for both time and space. We had really good discussion, the behavioral round also went great. I would rate this round 4/5

The third round was a design question. Like I was supposed to design a inventory management system. Now, we had good discussion on what the system should do and look like. I came up with good solutions for the logic itself but I think I could have improved upon the design of the system. If you only have around 30 minutes to design something, you actually kinda forget a few things and miss out on few things. So, just thinking back now I think it could have been improved but it's was still good. The behavioral round also went good. I would say 3.75/5 ?

So right after the interview I went to the airport. Had some Starbucks and then ready for the flight. Our flight got delayed by a bit. It was only 2.5 hours flight but I think I fell asleep at certain point. I had forgot to download anything to watch on the flight. I just listened to one of the discourses by Osho, and if you have listened to them, you know how easily they can make you fall asleep.

After we landed we got our rental and then headed straight to chipotle. That reminds me I created a new instagram account where I will post anything my heart desires. And because (yk, it's kinda like this blog but in a video format) only people who really want to follow that follows it'll be good. not everyone is interested in watching what I ate for dinner so.. yk. Give people the choice. I am also thinking about posting more videos there like reels and stuff.

Yeah so we had chipotle and then drove straight towards Niagara Falls. The moon looked really nice that night. The hotel we stayed at was close to Niagara Falls. We slept as soon as we got there and then next morning went to visit Niagara Falls. One word: Beautiful. We also touched the rainbow. (Kinda) then we went to a Nepali restaurant nearby and had momo and chicken chilly. I'll say this, we exclusively had Nepali food this trip. All in Nepali restaurant. Our main goal of this trip was to go to momo crave in queens NY.

After the falls we went to Boston. We initially had planned to go to NYC after that but it got a little late so we decided to go to Harvard instead. It was around 10 11:30 when we reached to Boston. We had ordered to go from a Nepali restaurant. Momo ,Chowmin and Choila. Everything was awesome. They said the restaurant would close at 11:30 so we picked up the order and had it on the parking lot. Jhol momo was the best ngl.

So after that we decided to go to Harvard. Man oh man, parking is a really big problem in big cities. Also, where to park was really confusing. It was past midnight when we were around Cambridge. And as I thought there were kids waking on the streets, most of them either going to a party or coming from one. The streets were lively, not too crowded but ..you know.. it was a fun vibe. I tell you, we spent a lot of time just looking for a parking. Then we found one. Then we walked around the blocks and went to the Harvard yard to find that statue. We sat in the park for a while and saw this guy pee all over the statue. Turns out 68% of Harvard students pee on that statue at some point. We had thought to take a picture by that statue, and after seeing that guy we didn't.

Boston as a whole was fun. The next day we went to MIT and visited places around it. We also went around Boston downtown and found this awesome cafe. I am in love with Boston, not gonna lie. If I get the offer from Amazon, i might consider going there.

The next day we went to NYC. Usual stuff, problems with parking and stuff. I think I've written too much lol. But nothing unusual, we visited places, had fun and tried a lot of Nepali food. 10/10 for the trip.

Your very own,
Handsome Charming Man.

Moving on

There is a common misconception that you need to move on once you break up. But, I am here to say "No you don't". You don't need to move on. It's not mandatory. It may be bad for your mental health, you may spend hours staring at the ceiling thinking about them, your fingers may get tired stalking them over the internet, who knows you may sneak into their room once or twice to remind yourself of how they used to smell. People go to the extent of kidnapping other's wife and we all know what caused the death of Rawana ( Ramayana ) or the  Trojan war . At least, you will not be responsible for anything like that. What you have ... is a healthy obsession. The only person who'll get hurt out of this is YOU. If you ask me, I decided to move on. I know it's hard for me to find someone like her after I have been emotionally attached to her for so long. How can things end so quickly? Where did all the dreams we had suddenly disappear? What about all t...

Love these keyboards

The main objective of this post is to check these new keyboards from Lofree that i got. Love them! It sounds very creamy, that I want to just yk savor the sound.  The backspace key in particular sounds very nice and also its fun to type.  These days have been pretty chill, changed my decision again I might very well need to move to Canada. Not my first choice but better than staying here and studing + working at the same time. Mostly because I want to travel back home as well. And yk for the aspect of certainity in life as well. If I go to Canada at least I'll have my PR process started there and by the time I come back to US I will have something to fall back on.  Still have one more shot so hope I get that. I don't really ask god that much very few things, last year I wasn't that serious but when things are starting to get real you realize the importance of things. Already starting to miss Seattle a little. I am very very hopeful and feel like I will get it but yk have ...

Few promises

Ok, so I’m in Ohio now.  I’ve been hanging out with a lot of married people these days. You know you’ve started to become an adult when the parties end at 8:00 because the kids have school tomorrow morning and you have work to wake up to.  Usually, we used to start partying at 8, and here we end partying at 8:00.  I’ve noticed that a lot of married couple are tired of each other?! Like why are they not at the party with each other. Usually there’s a gang of ladies and then of guys each of them wishing that they had more time to themselves and complain about each other. They call you lucky that you don’t have kids and stuff like that yk.  So, here’s a quick promises to myself. If I get married. Honestly, I don’t think I will be in a relationship ever again for a long time. But let’s say magically.. I find miss perfect and let’s say I get married.  1. I will never ever ever ever not make time for my significant other.  2. There won’t be a single day I forget ...
